How much to I love the internet?

Quite a bit.

How much do I love the internet, on my laptop, in the kitchen???

THIS MUCH! (holding arms waaaay out!)

So, on this lovely St. Patty’s Day (which originally had NOTHING to do with rainbows, gold, leprechauns or Guinness beer!) as my corned beef boiled away, I had the urge to make an Irish soda bread. Kids are busy soaking up the sunshine on the porch, so it’s a wonderful time to make a bit of a mess in the kitchen. So I got my handy dandy laptop and opened it up on my very clean kitchen counter and proceeded to search thru a number of recipes.

I love when you can find a recipe site with ratings! So I found a recipe for an Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread recipe that got 4.5 stars (out of 5) and got busy!

Uh oh! I don’t have margarine! Quick google search to see if there is anything I need to do before I substitute some butter…. Google says no! Forward mix!

Oooh… buttermilk… I know I can make my own with adding some lemon juice or vinegar to a cup or milk… but am I supposed to add a Tablespoon or a Teaspoon. Hmm this is sort of important… GOOGLE IT! Ah, yes! a tablespoons worth per cup of milk! Let sit for 5 minutes…

Ok my 5 minutes are up… I’ll let you know how it turns out!

Kiss someone who’s Irish today!
