Well, we didn’t get our big date yesterday. Nor did I get to go shopping at the mall. Instead Craigy and I sat in front of the TV all evening with some sudafed and a box of tissues. Craigy came down with the cold that the girls and I had, and he got it BAD. Time for a sinus transplant.

It was good to just have the time to sit and rest all drugged up. I didn’t realize how much I needed another few hours of that. So we caught up on all our TV shows, I watched a highly edited version of The Wedding Crashers (just not the same edited! ;o) on TBS and we slept, and slept and slept.

This morning I went and picked up my little ones who had thoroughly exhausted Uncle Matt and Aunt Jenn. They later reported taking a three and a half hour nap after we left! Once at home I addressed all my Christmas cards and puttered around the house a bit.

I was really, really antsy. I kept going over in my head the list of things I still needed for Christmas. All the stuff that was literally supposed to be done yesterday. After adding a cup of coffee to the mix, I could stand it no longer. So I set the chickydoodles up with peanut butter sandwiches and a DVD and headed into Norwich. And God is so good! I found 95% of the items on my list! I feel SO-OH-HO (think Dr. Cox from Scrubs) much better!

So perhaps later tonight I will begin wrapping and tomorrow I can concentrate on Craigy’s quilt a bit. I have to get some more stamps but my cards only need a lick and they’re good to go. There’s even room in my head to think about cookies now! (I’m going to try these!!! Cherry Berry Bars)
